Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 11 AM to 8 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Rose Mohr, and my business partner is Gerald Kuss. Our business started out as a produce market an ice cream shop 15 years ago. We were located just across from The Hacienda. The produce business lead to making fresh garden salads and homemade soups that became extremely popular. The addition of our homemade quiches was the launch of a busy little restaurant they kept growing. As we were outgrowing our location, we moved into the building we currently reside in. A great option became available in the heart of downtown Newport Ritchey, and seemed like a perfect match. I always loved the building and remember the moment we stepped into it. It felt like home.
What makes your business special?
This feeling of home is the atmosphere I feel we bring to our customers, along with warmth and friendliness. This was the start of Rose's Bistro eight years ago.
What do you think about the growth of Downtown New Port Richey?
Our downtown has grown so much over the past few years. The opening of the Hacienda made downtown Newport Richey a destination and has created lots of interest and many visitors. We are also fortunate to have a theater directly across from the restaurant that has a new energy and will also bring more visitors to the city. The city sponsors several large events throughout the year, along with smaller functions that also generate foot traffic.
Where are you located?
Rose's bistro is located at 6238 Grand Blvd, Directly across from Richey Suncoast Theatre. We are located on Railroad Square with plans for major makeover to the Square by the City.
What are some of your best menu items?
Rose's Bistro serves an extensive variety of popular luncheon favorites from handmade burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, Reubens, etc. You can be sure it’s fresh. Our food is prepared when ordered and we use Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses for our sandwiches. We are well known for our homemade soups and offer a variety of soups daily, fresh garden salads and of course our delicious quiches gives you many wonderful choices. Oue dinner service offers traditional dishes, chicken, marsala, eggplant, Parmesan and shrimp scampi to name a few. Pork chops, fish and steaks are available along with daily specials. We are currently updating our menu. With the addition of some new creative choices. We offered draft and bottled beers and wine. We look forward to serving you in the near future.
