Please tell us a bit about your business and its offerings. Sip is a Wine and Craft Beer Bar and Restaurant. It was established in 2016 by the original owners whose dream it was to move to Italy. As their dream became reality, even through the beginning of Covid, mine was evolving, too as the second owner of Sip on Grand beginning March 1, 2020.
What made you decide to start your business? The perfect opportunity at the perfect time.
What makes your business unique? Sip was started and remains a place and venue for shared experiences with friends and loved ones over a fine glass of wine and freshly prepared and delicious fare using only quality ingredients surrounded and comforted in a cozy, artsy setting.
What made you decide to open in Downtown New Port Richey? Sip was established at a time when Downtown NPR had a fresh slate for new culture and new ideas.
What do you think sets Downtown New Port Richey apart and makes it a special place to be? The most unique and loving aspect of downtown NPR is it’s community. The locals, which now includes any area accessible by golf cart, are the lifeblood of Downtown NPR. All the businesses in Downtown survived Covid thanks to the support of our local community. That being said, there are many small communities that survived by their local towns folks but what makes New Port Richey unique in its own right is the mix of born here locals and transplants that have a true affinity for the small town (city) vibe and it shows in the friendliness of most everyone you meet here. -Couple that with the unique beauty of a small Florida downtown area located on a picturesque river and a colorful past treasury of movie stars, singers and sports legends.
